October 2007

This months sketch contains 3 smaller cropped photos that measure 8cm x 8cm. You can make them smaller/larger or change them to one or two photos. You might like to change one or more of the photos to embellishments/accents. Add a scalloped edge, some ribbons or patterned paper, a spot for journaling, a title and you're done! You may also choose to mirror or rotate the design.

August 2007

This is a fairly simple design with one larger photo or you may like to use two regular photos or a combination of different size photos. The circles down the right hand side can be embellishments, patterned paper or smaller photos. Journaling strips or a title complete the layout.

July 2007

This month's sketch was inspired by a Publisher Design Set and incorporates 3 regular size photos that have been cropped by 1 cm (making them 9cm x 14cm), a title, large embellishment and a small amount of journaling. You may like to use a larger photo or a collage of smaller photos.

june 2007

This month's challenge has a number of photos within a trapezium, hidden journaling on tags and a title.

May 2007

This sketch incorporates a single photo 15cm x 20 cm (or you could use 2 regular size), 3 smaller photos or embellishments, a journaling strip, a title and another embellishment (the circle).

April 2007

The April sketch has 3-4 photos, some journaling strips, a title/subtitle, an embellishment and uses 5 different papers/cardstock (including the base).

March 2007

This month's sketch has more than one patterned paper (or coloured cardstock) on the background, one large photo (or you may like to replace with two regular size), two smaller photos, an embellishment (or 4th photo), hidden journaling, a title and room for a quote or sub-title. How you interpret the sketch is up to you...you can flip (mirror) the design or rotate it, you can add more photos or take some away...it's up to you!

February 2007

This month's sketch has one large photo or 2 regular size (you may want to use more), a title, a few embellishments and some journaling strips.

January 2007

This month's sketch uses 2 regular size photos and 1 smaller cropped photo or embellishment. There is room for a title and a quote or small amount of journaling. You may like to replace a photo with a larger amount of journaling...the choice is yours!

December 2006

This month's sketch has one larger photo, a title and 8 boxes that you can use for smaller photos, embellishments, journaling boxes or a mix of them. You may want to remove some of them and replace them with a bigger photo. You can also rotate the sketch or mirror the design.

November 2006

The sketch challenge for November has two 10 cm x15 cm photos, a two part title and a spot for journaling. You might like to use one larger photo, 4 smaller ones, use one of your title spots for journaling or embellish the journaling section. It's up to you how you interpret the sketch.

October 2006

The sketch this month uses one large photo (15cm x 20 cm) or two regular sizes photos. Add a title, sub-title, journaling and a few small embellishments. You can flip the design, rotate it, whatever you want, as long as some of the design element is still visible.

September 2006

This month's sketch uses a large photo of 20 cm x 15 cm or you could use two normal portrait size ones. There is room for journaling, a title, some extra photos or you could use the circles as embellishments. You can rotate it, flip it or leave the design as it is.

august 2006

This sketch contains 2 main photos (slightly smaller than a regular 10 cm x 15 cm), so you may need to do a little cropping. There are 4 smaller boxes that you can use as accents, a third single photo or 4 little photos. There is space for journaling, a main title and a quote, sub-title or more journaling.

July 2006

There's a lot of layering in this one, so it's a good opportunity to use some of your off cuts/scraps. A large photo is the main focus or you may choose to use two smaller ones (my photo is 14 x 19 cm). Throw on a title, some journaling, an accent and you're done!

June 2006

This design has one photo 5" x 7" (you may choose to use 2 regular size) as the main focus and it's really up to you how you use the blocks on the left. You may want to crop a bunch of photos, do journaling blocks, patterened paper squares, embellishments or a combination of all of them (the squares on this are 3.5 cm punch size).

May 2006

The sketch this month incorporates 1 large photo and one regular size photo, a journaling strip and a title block. You may choose to use 3 regular size pics (or more), rotate it, flip it, whatever you want to do!

April 2006

This design uses a 15 cm x 20 cm photo (you could use 2 that are 10x15) and 8 smaller ones (the size of a 1 1/2" punch). You could replace the smaller photos with embellishments or do a combination of both.

March 2006

This sketch is very simple and uses a big photo in the shape of a circle. You don't have to use a circle and can go with a more traditional shaped one. You may even want to use a number of smaller ones.

February 2006

This design incorporates a 5"x7" photo and 3 smaller ones that are 3"x4" aswell as a journaling block and title.

December 2005

This layout design features a single 5" x 7" photo, some journaling, a title and an embellishment. Once again it's up to you how you interpret the sketch. You can use a smaller photo or more than one photo.

November 2005

The idea this month is to use 3 normal size photos (10x15cm or 4x6"), but you may need to crop a little off the top or bottom. My pics have been cropped to 8.9 cm, but the width was left at 15cm. It's up to you whether you turn your title on the side or place it upright.

October 2005

The idea is to use one normal size photo (4"x6" or 5"x7") and 5 smaller photos or embellishments that measure 2"x3".
